Holoenergetics was one of the paths among others presented to me as I wanted to undo the patterns that had been tying up my life for some years. I chose Holoenergetics because I knew people who seemed satisfied with the results of the technique. I had been told about the sessions which balanced the energies of "subtle" bodies by means of colour filters. I was intrigued so I gave it a chance. Besides, colour has always been meaningful to me. Above all, I had an excellent start with the practitioner Éléonora. I felt ready and curious without knowing what to expect. After all, what is the world if not an envrionment inhabited by all sorts of vibrations.

The sessions I had in Holoenergetics affected me radically, much like having my eye-glasses thoroughly cleaned. At the beginning, it was hard to accept the evidence as I became conscious of things I didn`t really want to see, but that I needed to look at concerning my relationship with myself and with others, and with my ability to make the best choices for myself.

I received seven treatments over a two-month period. Even if the technique does not touch the physical body directly, I was very surprised to find my whole body feeling its effects. First I had muscle pain, back pain, and then a generous surge of acne. These symptoms were not new but came to surface as if trying to be liberated. At first, such intensive labour was quite unpleasant. It's like growing pains during adolescence; you feel pulled all over. But after a few weeks, my body and spirit found a new balance and my complexion cleared up.

Now, seven months after my last treatment, the benefits continue and the experience is still a significant one. I have a better understanding of my behaviour. My choices are more appropriate to my situation. Relationships are better and I can laugh at my old reflexes finally unmasked. That`s what I call liberation.

I am most grateful to the Holoenergetic practitioners who are helping me discover my path in life. My first treatments were given by Dorthy Jacobs-Bilodeau in Ste-Foy and I now receive on-going treatments from Éléonora Névery in Montreal. Hats off to these amazing women who have the courage and generosity to persevere in helping people through a scientific approach that requires much study,dedication, and faith in the human spirit.

As I look back on my long past, I realize that my quest for identity and love was thwarted by various exterior pressures so that the paths I chose did not respect my needs for physical and spiritual wholeness. As I strove for perfection, body and mind were at odds. My life-long efforts led to chronic illnesses, burn-outs and depression so that after many years of exposing myself to various techniques, I chose Holoenergetics, specially because its effectiveness requires no mental effort on my part. Some of my reactions were difficult but the pains passed as messengers announcing the return of life in my body, as witnesses of the traumatic experiences I coped with mentally instead of physically. They served as reminders that I am part of the imperfect human race forever in need of compassionate attention.

Now, I am learning to trust myself and life as it is, to relate to others with less anxiety and dependance. I am more realistic about my limits and possibilities. Letting go of certitudes helps me to relax, to trust my choices and grin at my failures. I accept more easily to he helped in healing my body and mind. Ant it`s such a relief to find out that I haven`t been chosen to save the world after. Can you hear those violins… My responsibility is to take my place in the universe and celebrate my uniqueness. Holoenergetics opened the way to my being and set me on my path, the path I am free to trace, one step at a time.
